Organic Gardening Summer Enrichment Camp ~ Developing Green Youth Ambassadors for the 21st Century

Global Interventions Ventures in Education (G.I.V.E.)presents Organic Gardening Summer Enrichment Camp.

We will create green youth ambassadors, ages 8-14 / grades 3rd-8th, and show them how to leave a positive carbon footprint. The focus will be teaching organic green sustainability with a holistic approach for a healthy you and Earth. This will be accomplished through the art of organic gardening and the natural sciences. Including, multi-cultural hands on activities, planting and cultivating your very own organic garden patch, learning about a variety of foods and there cultural and social connections. Summer enrichment curriculum and workshops will be guided by Indiana Academic Standards with an emphasis on math and science to enrich your youth’s “edu-taining” (educating and entertaining) summer experience. Green youth ambassadors will also learn how to create simple, economical, nutritional entrees, and green smoothies with little or no cooking. This will be achieved while reinforcing math and science knowledge and skill sets.
